Fate carries us
like the winds
across the canyons
of time.
Whether the wind
will be gentle and sweet
as it caresses the earth,
or cold and bitter
as it chips away
pieces of the earth’s flesh
we cannot know.
But what is taken away
with one wind
is built upon by another
creating layers
upon layers
of that which we call universe.
