As The Year’s End Comes Near

Angel Postcard by Anne Copeland

I want to take this time to express my appreciation for all of you whom I have come in contact with this year. You each bring beautiful gifts of your writing with poetry, stories of your inspirational lives as well as stories of the lives of others, and fantastic fiction and nonfiction books. And there are those of you who teach us and who share your travels with us and those of you who provide services for us without which none of this would be possible. I am sure there are other things I am forgetting to mention, but know that all of you have contributed so much to the lives of all of us in many ways. I think that you each bring a microcosmic world to us, something that we would not be able to have with the world spinning so fast and the days zipping by.

I am sure as each of us understands, we are in for some major worldwide changes in the coming year, and perhaps a lot of it will seem negative. Certainly the political arenas of the world are poised to make huge changes that may or may not benefit us and this is happening throughout the world. We can choose to be fearful of another potential war, or we can see the political upheavals as essential for people to awaken to the fact that we cannot just watch our cell phones and see only the things that please us.

Regardless of what may come in the future, live life fully and see what you can do to create positive change for all of us. One tiny candle in the dark can provide enough light for many. While it will be easy to focus on the negative, remember to understand that it is essential for all of us to wake up and not take our world for granted. No matter what holidays you celebrate or if you do not celebrate, I wish the very best for each and every one of you.

  1. Thank you so kindly. Yes, there will be challenges globally, and I am hoping the world will awaken and realize that we have to stop fighting and try to work together to help the environment and its ability to help keep us all alive. Cheers and wishing you the same for the New Year and all the years to follow.

  3. Thank you so kindly, Jennie. I feel absolutely wealthy having a sort of extended family through the blogging community too. It is wonderful to know that there are so many good people out there. I wish you the very best of the season too and a Happy New Year and many more to follow. I thought of you the other day when I was in a thrift store and they had a lot of wonderful children’s books. I didn’t have the money to do it then, but I thought what a good idea it might be to fill a big cloth bag with lots of books, and then when I am in a public place where there are children with their parents to let each child choose one book. I know parents often go to the doctors, etc. and don’t think to bring children anything to do. If I let the child choose a book, they might take it home and if the parent would read it to them, that might be a very good thing. Anyway, I like the idea and I think I will do that. I already have a bunch of children’s books that a man and his wife were giving away for free. See how you have influenced so many of us? Knowing you is truly a joy!

  5. Amen! So very true sis! It’s going to get worst and the stage is already being set up for the “one world government” & “one world religion” movement. We need to wake up and get off our phones that are truly “cells” that has jailed the souls & minds into technology slavery. Jesus is coming and the nations must repent and come back to the True and Living God Jesus Christ. God bless & keep you & your family!

  6. Thank you most kindly, Tammy. One thing I am sure of is that God put each and everyone here on this earth, and if any of us were not meant to be here, we would not be, so we are ALL sacred creations of God. God made us all in his image, so God is a God of many colors, many languages, many cultural and religious beliefs. If we fail to notice that, we fail to realize that God is all powerful and all knowing. Just as he created that which is all good, so he created that which is not good so that we have free will. We just have to learn to use it all wisely as he intended. We have many things to take care of and #1 besides our souls is this earth. Man has forgotten that God created this world in such a way that it is fragile, and we are beginning to see the signs of climate change and other things because mankind is wasteful and unconcerned about how he uses the earth. Our souls and minds do need attention and so does this earth as a whole. No one is going to save us this time if we don’t get it right. Peace and blessings to you, Anne always
